Of course Verity ran to hug him!

On our way to Arizona for the wedding!!
Melanie and Verity's seat friend from China, Coo she tan
In the Phoenix airport
Next morning at the Phoenix temple. So hot, but so beutiful. We did baptisms!

Next up: Arizona Diamonbacks baseball game.

The arena is SO cool! All indoor, and massive. (thankfully indoor = 112 degrees outside)

A crazy donut, churro, ice cream treat that grandma bought for us

The Diamondbacks lost, the game was kinda boring, but fun memory!!
The view from the top of the parking garage we parked at
Of course, a little trip to the "famous" donut shop downtown

Supposedly a "haunted" house in downtown Phoenix. We did a little exploring that night.
Grandpa with an early-morning wakeup call for the kids in our Phoenix hotel

Then we took our 3 hour drive from Phoenix to Thatcher. Enjoyed meeting Grace's family that day.
That night was special - Kaleb opened his mission call!!

Averly got to join us by Facebook for Kaleb's mission-call reading in our Thatcher Air B&B
Called to the Utah, Spanish Fork mission, starting September 16!

So fun to have just this special little group for his mission-call opening.
A little fun Thatcher, Arizona Walmart excursion

Enjoying some down time at the B&B
A special trip to R&R pizza express in Thatcher. All you can eat. Good stuff. Fun company!
Setting up for the luncheon at the Church right next to the temple

All our family arrived while we were setting up!
Eric and Deana Burke, Given, Jayson, Chris, Wally, Maddie, Andre, Gpa/Gma Dutson, Alex, Kaleb (Melanie taking the picture, of course)
Looks so good! Way to go, Melanie!!

Going over to Grace's aunt/uncle house where the reception was. Gotta move the trampoline out of the way
Kaleb invited over the rest of the family/friends to our Air B&B to read his mission call for everyone else who had arrived.
So cool that Erica and Deana were there!
Best family ever! Congrats, Kaleb!
Hayden and Verity's wake-up call from Given.
Wedding morning at the beautiful Gila Valley, Arizona Temple
Here we go!

Handsome fellas ready for the big exit
And there they are!

Bros and Best men Nate, Triven (and his girlfriend, Macie, Parker)

Bridesmaides (including Verity) and Best men (Kaleb, Parker, Nate, Hayden, Triven, Grant)

They were champions enduring the heat for those pictures. It was SO hot but we got some great pictures!!
Luncheon time at the church right next to the temple (how convenient!)
Head table
Love this family!
Even Dan and Kerri from Montana!

Kaleb arranged a version of "Love to the Moon and Back" that he sang and played guitar for. It was SO awesome!

Expressions of gratitude. A little emotional :)

Triven's tribute

Goodbye Eric and Deana.
Whent went back to our Air B&B to rest a bit before the reception, and the house down the street from where we were staying just blew up on fire!!! Massive flames with explosions. It was crazy! Our house got filled with smoke and the electricity got shut off (no AC in very hot weather), so we left and went back to the church until the reception.
The reception the Haller family put on was AMAZING! It was so gorgeous. The weather cooled down to the perfect temperature, and the decorations and atmosphere and refreshments were awesome!
Cutting the cake
Grace got a little agressive :)

Love this so supportive family!!!
Verity's friend after the reception

It's about time to leave

Kaleb and Hayden led a phenomenal rampage of Grace's car. Well done fellas, well done!!

Goodbye Mr. & Mrs. Chatelain!
Thank you all so much for coming!
Crazy! Sariah Harrison ended up in Thatcher, Az that night as a counselor for FSY. She didn't make it in time for the reception, but just a quick visit from us afterward.
At church the next morning. Nice "playing with the phone" picture, guys ;)
We made the trip back to Phoenix from Thatcher on Sunday, but stopped by the Mesa temple on our way back. It was SO beautiful. The grounds are breathtaking!!

In the next three pictures, notice what Melanie's hand is doing???

Back in our Phoenix hotel, Hayden and Kaleb brushing teeth doing some type of funky hip dance as they brush. Quite the scene!
A little good-night lovin
Alex looking super good. He refused to pack his suit in the suitcase because it would have gotten so wrinkled. So, he wore it there on the airplane, and wore it back on the airplane. Wow!
Back in Utah. We spent a couple of days at the Iverson's to help out. Had to make a special stop at Zaxby's for the first time for the kids. Loved it!
Hi sweet Elsie!
We took a little trip with the Iversons to Provo falls to enjoy Brian's birthday. Beautiful place!

Brian's birthday dessert. SO good!
Final good-byes to Alton before he would start his mission
Marice - ALL DONE with chemotherapy treatments!
Good-bye Iversons!

Luca loves those walks!
Reunion pool party!!

Verity and sweet little Genni

Still loving those walks!
A bunch of 'em took a hike up the mountain to an abandoned mine. Cool looking graffitti there!

Chillin in down-town Park City
Verity handing out with Ty/Alyssa's family. Exploring Park City.

Dylan and Aselin announced their engagement for a December wedding!
We had an incredibly fun time doing Kaleb's Shark Tank game. SO funny selling and judging really weird products!
Like the Potty Putter. "It comes with two balls" ;)
The donut holster

Chicken-wing soap
Family Blanket with arm-holes
Loves this family so much!
Playing Happy Salmon. So fun!
Last day together. Went to church together in Park City. Goodbye everyone!
Averly's awesome birthday letter to Alex. So creative and thoughtful!
Incredible drawing from Adelaide to Given and Grace (Gila Valley temple!)
Dad's getting his hair cut, Kaleb gives him his Father's Day gift - two packets of POMELO TANG (one of dad's favorite drinks from the Philippines). He was elated!
Kaleb's final, official mission-call reading for neighbors and friends

Dayne, Nicole, Kaleb, Daniel
Sapps, Bryson, Kaleb
Kaleb, Kaynel and Beth Chase
Hanging out with our sweet friend Nicole afterward
Melanie and Alex got to go to Grand Targhee Resort for our Husband/Wife convention for work. It was so fun and so beautiful!

Loved hanging out with our dear friends, Mandy and Kevin Dupree
A remarkable view of the Grand Teton mountain range from the top of Targhee

Alex's idea: Let's stand in the snow for our picture. We slipped and it got a little weird

View of the valley from the top of Targhee

Special picture of these amazing wildflowers as we drove home (special picture for Verity)
Incredible creation, ladies! Macoroni and Cheese pizza! 2 of Averly's all-time favorites!
X-ray of Alex's post-surgery foot (#7). Two pins still in, one came out. Later update - all three ended up coming out
Annual trip to Island Park. We saw too plays, stayed at our favorite place (Eagle Ridge Ranch), and it was so fun to have Given and Grace come join us on Friday (a little snug in our tiny cabin, but all good)

Beautiful view of the lake after Thursday night's play
Play time in the little pond at the Ranch

They all did the rope swing, too!
A little wet walk back to the cabin
Love those Island Park views! Alex's sanctuary :)
Enjoying the cabin's hot tub!
Friday night's play: Hayden was dared by Kaleb to fit and eat an entire Fat Boy (Jr) ice cream sandwich in his mouth. He almost gagged to death, but he did it!

Loved our trip!
A couple of picture of Sister Chatelain. This is her with Sister Eason and Sister Davie
A Screenshot of Averly speaking in one of her Pueblo West wards. Unfortunately, the Zoom feed provided terrible audio, but I'm sure it was fantastic!!
