Grateful to our friend, Carolyn Gudmundson, for being there to take all these homecoming pictures!
Strange Brew
Tangled
Tangled
One of Averly's favorite scriptural phrases
Classic Hayden!
There were SO many people at the airport. There were 5 or 6 missionaries coming home that same day!
Averly said Hayden got the first hug
We, of course, had to take Averly to her favorite burger place, Dixie's Diner.
Melanie created this awesome garage sign
Tina Barnum (next door neighbor) created this awesome garage-door sign
Everyone ready for a nap in Averly's newly decorated room.
We loved having Averly tell us stories and show pictures and video from throughout her mission. What a treat!
Averly had a beautiful meeting with our family and President Jon Saunders to be released, where she shared a powerful testimony of Christ and the Book of Mormon. On our way home, Alene Kovac (neighbor/friend) was doing yardwork. Averly yelled at us to "Stop" so she could give her a hug!
Amazing home decorations
Visiting Julee McArthur, the mom of one of Averly's favorite comps, Sarah McArthur.
Julee, Averly, Matt
The day after Averly got home, Melanie drove her all the way to Provo and back so Averly could have an interview at the MTC
Averly meeting up with another favorite comp, Kenzi Ashton
Sheree Alison
And, all the way back to Idaho Falls on the same day
Time for the Hatch reunion! Saying Hello Gma/Gpa at a restaurant in Rexburg
JaNae
Dave
Otto giving Given a big hug
All the adults did a sealing session in the Rexburg temple
All the kids did baptisms in the Rexburg temple
A very kind temple worker offered his property, which was right on the Snake river, for our family to come and play.
St. Anthony sand dunes
On Sunday of the reunion, Given was ordained a High Priest by Alex, then set apart by Matt Williams (S&I friend in their Stake Presidency) as the 1st Counselor in their ward bishopric.
Hanging out, having lunch, and playing games at the Church pavilion after church
All the (present) grandkids.
Glad Grandpa didn't fall off!
Dance-performance time, of course!
The dance Oliver, Averly, and Hayden did was absolutely hilarious!
Bowling at the Strike Zone at BYUI.
Grace and Elsie
Right after the Hatch family reunion, Averly and Verity flew to Denver to meet up with Averly's mission friends for a long one-week road trip to Nauvoo (again, for Verity). The Hill family came to visit Averly, but we got to enjoy their visit instead.
Alex and Elder Michael Chase
Mom and Dad with Elder Cade Kovac
Mom and Dad with Elder Dayne Kovac
Hayden skunking dad in the Hotels game
Jeremy had been in the hospital again a lot in July with terrible spasms and blood pressure spikes and drops. Alex decided to fly out to Colorado again to help for a week. This is us dropping him off at the airport in Idaho Falls.
Alex had a great visit to the Colorado Chatelain's that week. Lots of visiting time, spent a lot of time helping regulate and schedule Jeremy's meds
Spent some precious time again with Dallin
We were blessed that Jeremy didn't have any spasms or blood-pressure spikes while Alex was out there, so it was a great week of visiting and helping. Unfortunately, Jeremy's issues returned just a day after Alex left.
Mom and Hayden enjoying Super Chix while dad was away
And some tennis practicing together
First cherry tomato from our garden!
Mom's gorgeous sourdough bread. She's so incredible!!
